We’ll carefully consider things like lifestyle, temperament, age of family members, etc. to ensure that your new pet is a good fit for you… and that you are a good fit for this animal.

When Will I Hear Back?
Often pets receive multiple applications. Unfortunately, we are not able to respond to every applicant, and will prioritize those applications that seem to be the best fit for that particular animal.
How Much Does Adopting Cost?
Adult Dogs 7 mo. to 7 years $500
Senior Dogs 7 years + $350
Kittens and Adult Cats $200
Senior Cats 7 years + $150
What is included in the adoption fee?
Your new family member will be up to date on all core vaccinations. It will also be spayed or neutered and microchipped.
IS A HOME VISIT REQUIRED?
Yes. That is a required part of the adoption process.
Do I have to apply for each dog OR CAT in which i Am interested?
No. Your application will help us determine which pet is best suited for you. If the original pet for which you applied is not available or is not a good fit, approved applicants will be considered for other pets in our care.

Step 2: Submit Your Application
Fill out our adoption application form online or in-person. We’ll verify your infomation and see if this pet seems like a good match.
Step 3: References & Home Visit
Our team will check vet and personal references and conduct a home visit to ensure a safe environment for the pet. Once approved, we’ll make sure to help you and your family match with the perfect pet for your lifestyle, experience, and family dynamic.
Step 4: Meet & Greet
Make sure that all family members are on-board with your potential new pet. This includes properly conducted meetings for all of the four legged family members. We want this transition to be a smooth one for everyone.

To begin the adoption process, please complete our online application form. Ensure that you meet our basic requirements for minimum age (21) and have landlord approval (renters). Our team will review your application and if it seems like a fit, we’ll contact you to discuss the next steps, which include a home visit and a meet-and-greet with your potential new pet.

We generally do not adopt our dogs or cats out of state but in some cases will consider adopting out in a nearby state, that is if we feel the animal will do well in the home.
Rescue Ridge reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone, makes no guarantees as to the health of the animal, and makes no claims as to its behavior or temperament.
