Spirit is a beautiful, unique looking, approximately 2 year old Shepherd mix. Spirit loves walks, car rides, going on adventures, playing fetch and getting lots of attention. Spirit loves people and enjoys making new friends. Spirt is very smart and has had some professional training. He knows many commands and is always eager to learn more. Spirit is looking for a dog savvy, experienced owner who will understand his needs and can give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Spirit takes a little time to fully trust you, but once he does he will bond with you and reward you with lots love and affection. While Spirt has been with us at Rescue Ridge, he has attended adoption events, kids sporting events, gone to parades and parks and has been extremely well behaved in each setting. Spirit is dog friendly, but does have a high prey drive so he needs a home without cats or other small animals. The ideal home for Spirit would have someone who is home most of the time (or could take him to work with them) with a large fenced yard. Meet Bowie!!

He is a petite and according to his DNA, 100% American Pittie! We like to say he is 100% American cuteness! Bowie is approximately 9 months old and 35 pounds. Came up from the south, he is neutered and UTD on his vaccines. His foster mom says he does well in his crate, is housebroken and learning his manners. He knows to go to his "place" (dog bed) outside of his crate and loves to snuggle on the couch. He walks well on a leash and enjoys his walks, especially one in the morning. That gets his day going perfectly! He loves car rides! Bowie loves to hang by your side watching tv as well as a good belly rub and his soft spot is under his chin! Bowie also knows how to swim! but would rather just hang poolside. He LOVES to be outside and watch the birds fly by or hang out and watch you change the oil in your car. A fenced yard is a must! He takes treats gently and loves toys and a good bully stick. He still has puppy in him but is learning the ropes with consistency and praise. He even sleeps right through fireworks, vacuum cleaners, and hair dryers! He also loves a good scrub in the bathtub!! Bowie would do best in a quiet home that is consistent with routine. He likes all adults and kids, but older kids over 10 would be best because of his bouts of silliness! Not sure about cats and seems to like other dogs that he has met with a happy tail wag!
