Jenny

Meet Jenny, Ready for Her Forever Home!

We may never know Jenny's past, but this brave little girl isn't letting anything hold her back. At 4-5 years old, Jenny is full of life, always wagging her tail, and bringing joy to everyone she meets.

Jenny has a break in her back and one hind leg she can't use, so she needs a little help going up and down stairs-but don't worry, she's only 13 pounds and will look at you with those sweet, grateful eyes as you carry her.

Aside from avoiding stairs and skipping long walks, Jenny is just like any other pup! She's house-trained, loves people, and is friendly with pets her size, even cats! Jenny would thrive in a home without bigger dogs, as they could be too much for her physically.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will warm your heart every day, Jenny is waiting to meet you. Please apply to adopt Jenny at rescueridge.com, and if your application is a possible match, a volunteer will get back to you shortly. No inquiry without an adoption application.

He has a very calm and gentle demeanor and would do best in a home with a family that will give him some time to come out of his shell. Please consider opening your heart and your home to this precious boy. If you'd like to meet Richie, please fill out an application on our website at rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet. Please, no inquiries without an application.

UPDATE ON PICKLES THE COURTESY POST HUSKY MIX. Contact by text 732 546 8805 and your information will be forwarded to Pickles' owner. Apply at rescueridge.com once you text. "Pickles is doing great. Now one year old. He is a neutered Husky/Shephard mix (mostly Husky), according to the vet. He loves to play to get all his energy out, so a fenced-in yard is best for him, but he is currently trained on an electric fence. He has a girlfriend and just loves all other dogs he meets. He has never been with cats so do not know how he will react. Pickles has been receiving training and hopes someone will continue it. He's great with all people of all ages and children. The kennel where he goes to daily where he loves to play, the woman said he's a fabulous dog. Just has lots of energy and needs a companion. However, he is very strong. His problem is getting out of cars as something had to have happened to him in the past. Could be he was dropped off at several locations when he was a puppy Pickles needs a playmate to keep him busy and help him run all day. He does run on his own, but he tends to get bored quickly. He's very smart and always wants to please. If you or anyone you know is interested in this sweet, loving puppy, please contact me. My sister is walking with a cane and he's too much for her to handle on her own. She needs a therapy dog who is older." Pickles is a courtesy post. He's Husky/Stafford Pit and perhaps Shepherd. Short hair dog. He would be great with other dogs so he can play. Knows "Sit" and "Paw." Needs room to run around. The only reason my sister needs to find him a home is because he jumps. My sister is on a cane and not sturdy. She has fallen and can no longer take chances that she will get hurt badly. He may need some training in that area. He does know some commands. He has been in a kennel but not in crate. He has gone to someone's house who house sits about 6 dogs or so at a time. He loved it and the woman had no issues with him. He played all the time with the other dogs and even her two great Danes. I would say he's high-energy type. He has a fear of cars, getting into a car, because he was dumped a few times by previous owner who did not take the time to be with him and dumped him on his ex who then did not want him either." Lucky--Courtesy Post

Lucky was found a little over two weeks ago, dumped in a park in Neptune, covered in wounds and fleas and, very underweight. We took her to the vet where she was stitched, cleaned and, was put on antibiotics, pain meds and treated for the fleas. We suspect Lucky was used for breeding and as a bait dog.

Fast-forward to now, and Lucky is a happy little pup. She is friendly, loving, and playful. Honestly, she must have been crated her whole existence, as everything is brand new to her. Our trainer has started working with her and says, "She doesn't have a mean bone in her body." If we didn't have three alpha dogs, she would be added to our pack.
Please text 732 546 8805 and your interest will be forwarded to her foster.

Brooklyn--Courtesy Post

This is Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is a Pit mix about seven years old. Her rescuer found her running through a junkyard when she was an older puppy and couldn't leave her to fend for herself.
Tragically, her rescuer passed away this week, and she was left alone with him until the next morning when help came.
She is currently with a family member who can not keep her, so we are trying to find her a loving home.
Unfortunately Brooklyn is only up to date on her rabies. She is not spayed so she will need to be, and will need her vaccines. She has skin allergies that are being treated, but that's will have to be kept up with.
Brooklyn is a very sweet dog. She walks well on a leash and takes treats so gently. She has shown no signs of aggression or guarding. She is house-trained and non-destructive. Brooklyn knows sit and down. She is very treat-motivated, which will help with any training you may want to do. She just loves attention from everyone and, at times, will bark just to get some love. She allows full-body contact, is nondestructive, and shows no signs of separation anxiety.
Right now, Brooklyn appears to be nonreactive towards dogs, but she should probably be an only dog... at least until she adjusts to losing the only person she ever knew. She would do well with older children, probably around 13 and up, as her human sister is around that age.
Brooklyn just wants a place to call home, be loved, and give love in return.
